Why ISP Coverage Maps Are Often Wrong
A coverage map can make a building look connected even when a particular unit cannot be installed quickly, needs construction, or has no open capacity. Federal broadband data reflects provider-reported availability, and the FCC continually accepts corrections. Treat a search result as a shortlist: ask each provider to confirm the specific unit, technology, installation date, equipment cost, and current speed tier.
For a remote-worker move, that call is as important as a viewing. An address can have excellent fiber on one side of a street and cable-only service—or a different building wiring situation—next door.
